CINY residence halls are located in the heart of New Rochelle, a thriving suburban community in Westchester County that is also one of the oldest and most historic communities on the eastern seaboard. The campus is in close proximity to shops, neighborhood restaurants and the New Roc City entertainment and shopping complex where there are movie theatres, restaurants and an arcade. Nearby are parks and beaches lining the scenic Long Island Sound.
CINY offers several housing options, each with a unique set of amenities. Dormitory charges vary based on building and number of roommates.
Allison Hall is a six-story residence hall on Main Street, just a few steps from classes. Allison Hall rooms are furnished with a twin size bed and mattress, a chest of drawers, and an armoire for each student. Each bedroom is equipped with a mini refrigerator and a television with basic cable service. All students who reside in Allison Hall must be on the meal plan since there are no kitchens or kitchenettes in this building. The suite has a bathroom and central air conditioning. Every floor has a common area with cable TV, and is open and lit 24 hours a day for students to socialize and study. Additionally, the building has a fitness center, computer lounge and laundry facility. Security is provided around the clock.
Gaddy Hall is our most recently constructed building, a six-story mixed-use hall located on Main Street. Named in honor of James Gaddy, a former New Rochelle Schools Superintendent and longtime Monroe College trustee, Gaddy Hall offers housing for 300 students and includes a spacious outdoor courtyard. The lower floors house classrooms, faculty and administrator offices, and the newly opened Gaddy Café, a 250-seat dining hall.
